Raisner Roupinian LLP filed a class action suit on August 2, 2021, against Center for Excellence in Higher Education, Independence University (“CEHE”), seeking to recover 60 days wages and benefits for former employees under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (“WARN”) Act. We contend CEHE ordered mass layoffs at its facilities on or about August 2, 2021, without providing its employees with 60 days’ advance written notice as required by the WARN Act. The case is pending in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
