Mass layoffs at First Brands Group locations triggers WARN violation class action filing
Nationwide WARN Act law firm Raisner Roupinian LLP filed a class action complaint on behalf of affected employees on February 13, 2026. The original complaint has been amended to encompass former employees across the United States, and there are now 17 listed defendants in this matter.
There have been mass layoffs at numerous First Brands Group locations and both former CEO Patrick James and former Senior Executive Edward James have been charged with multibillion-dollar fraud.
First Brands Group, based in Cleveland, OH and with many subsidiaries and brand names, is an auto parts company that reported revenues of more than $5 billion in 2024. Their well-known brands include Fram, Autolite, Trico, and Raybestos products.
First Brands Group filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Texas in September of 2025.
