Raisner Roupinian LLP filed a class action suit against Colortree Group, Inc. (“Colortree”) on June 6, 2019, seeking to recover 60 days wages and benefits under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (“WARN”) Act, and unpaid wages, including accrued vacation pay, under the Virginia Wage Payment Act for terminated Colortree employees. We contend Colortree ordered a mass layoff on or about June 3, 2019 without providing its employees advance written notice. On September 12, 2019, the Court certified the Class.
On December 10, 2019, the United States Bankruptcy Court approved a settlement of this action in the amount of $500,000. Settlement checks (net of class counsel’s fees, expenses and applicable withholdings), were mailed to eligible Class Members on January 22, 2020.
