NEW RITE AID, LLC and RITE AID HDQTRS. CORP.

UPDATE 06/05/2025

Raisner Roupinian LLP filed a class action complaint on May 16, 2025, against New Rite Aid, LLC and Rite Aid Hdqtrs. Corp. (the “Debtors” or “Defendants”), seeking to recover 60 days’ wages and benefits for terminated employees under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (“WARN”) Act.

We contend Defendants terminated employees without cause as part of the mass layoffs or plant closings carried out by Defendants on or about May 5, 2025 at the Valley Green and Rite Aid Collaboration Center facilities in Pennsylvania without providing 60 days’ written notice as required by the WARN Act.

The case is pending in the United States Bankruptcy Court District of New Jersey (Trenton).
